Blanche River Health Announces Implementation of Voyce Interpretation Service
Blanche River Health will now have access to a language interpretation service through Voyce at both its Englehart and Kirkland Lake hospitals!
“We have seen our population grow more diverse in the last few years. It is important that we continue to adapt to people’s needs and ensure that everyone, regardless of language, receives excellent health care” says Jorge VanSlyke, President and Chief Executive Officer of Blanche River Health.
Through Voyce's state-of-the-art platform, patients at Blanche River Health will have access to video and audio interpretation any time of day, seven days a week. Patients and staff will be able to communicate in 240+ languages including indigenous languages such as Ojibway and Cree as well as American Sign Language. This ensures that every patient can understand and be understood when receiving critical healthcare services.
Voyce is not just any interpretation system. There are trained human medical interpreters behind this system that ensures critical medical information is translated accurately. This application also abides by privacy laws.
