Blanche River Health (BRH) is pleased to announce that its Emergency Room (ER) Wait Time Clock is now available online at erclock.blancheriverhealth.ca, providing the public with real-time estimates of wait times at both of its hospital sites in Kirkland Lake and Englehart.

Originally launched with the support of the Blanche River Health Foundation and generous community donations, including a major contribution from Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson Mine, the new online ER Clock is designed to give patients and families better access to information before they arrive at the hospital.

Updated regularly, the tool displays the current estimated wait time to see a physician in each Emergency Department.

“We’re proud to introduce this new feature to help our community members make informed choices about their care,” said Jorge VanSlyke, President and CEO of BRH. “While emergencies should always be treated seriously, the ER Clock allows patients to plan ahead and better understand what to expect when they arrive.”

Blanche River Health operates as a 61-bed, two-site hospital, serving communities across the Kirkland Lake and Englehart regions. The ER Clock —both in-hospital and online— supports the hospital’s ongoing commitment to transparency, patient-centred care, and digital accessibility. 

Patients are reminded that wait times can change quickly depending on the number and severity of cases being treated. Those experiencing serious or life-threatening symptoms should always call 911 or go directly to the nearest Emergency Department.
