Blanche River Health Celebrates its 50/50 Draw Anniversary
Blanche River Health launched its online 50/50 draw in June of 2021. This month marks the one-year anniversary for this important fundraising initiative which supports Blanche River Health’s equipment needs through the Blanche River Health Foundation. To date, the online 50/50 draw has raised over $62,000 which goes towards supporting new and modern equipment purchases for both the Kirkland Lake and Englehart hospital sites.
“We want to thank residents in Kirkland Lake, Englehart and the surrounding communities as they continue to support our online 50/50 draws through regular monthly ticket purchases,” said Blanche River Health Foundation President John Sullivan. He continued, “Since hospital equipment is not fully funded through the government, fundraising initiatives like this are very important to ensure we can acquire new and upgraded clinical equipment which helps maintain the level of high-quality care local patients have come to expect at Blanche River Health.”
“Since the hospital amalgamation occurred in October of 2020, the Blanche River Health Foundation and hospital have continued to work together in support of new and upgraded clinical equipment for both hospital sites. The online 50/50 draw has been providing a much-needed source of funding for equipment purchases, and we look forward to this ongoing support into the future,” said Blanche River Health President and Chief Executive Officer Sean Conroy.
To celebrate the first anniversary of the online 50/50 draw, the Blanche River Health Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of its first early bird draw this month with a cash prize of $1,111. Tickets for the current 50/50 draw and early bird prize are available now and can be purchased online at www.blancheriverhealth5050.ca. Deadline for the early bird draw is June 15, 2022 at 9:59 am.
