Blanche River Health Seeks Volunteers for Patient and Family Experience Advisory Council
Blanche River Health is asking local patients, along with their family members, to consider volunteering for the Patient and Family Experience Advisory Council.
Patient and Family Experience Advisory Council members share their unique perspectives and advice to help inform hospital policies, facility design, programs and quality improvement efforts.
“Blanche River Health has long partnered with patients and family members whose perspectives help inform our efforts to deliver patient and family-centered care,” said Joan Brazeau, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, Blanche River Health. “These volunteers serve their communities by playing a key role in how the hospital operates, through the patient lens.”
Patients and family members of those who have received care at Blanche River Health in the last three years and can commit to one or two hours of volunteer work per month, are encouraged to visit www.blancheriverhealth.ca to learn more and fill out the application form or call Cindy Honeyborne, Quality and Patient Safety Leader, at (705) 567-5251, ext. 3202.
Blanche River Health is a 74-bed hospital corporation with two sites serving the North Eastern Ontario communities of Englehart (26 beds) and Kirkland Lake (48 beds) as well as residents in surrounding areas.
