Kirkland and Englehart Area Welcomes New Permanent Family Physician
The Kirkland and District Hospital (KDH), Englehart and District Hospital (EDH), and the Kirkland District Family Health Team have welcomed its newest family physician to the community!
Dr. Augusto Estrada (pictured) recently completed his residency at the University of Toronto, and he and his wife Kristina have re-located to our area from Western Canada. Dr. Estrada is setting up a family practice based at the Kirkland District Family Health Team and will be supporting both our hospitals covering Emergency Physician and Hospitalist duties.
“It’s always exciting to have a new physician come into the community”, says President and Chief Executive Officer, Sean Conroy. “I want to extend a warm welcome to Dr. Estrada and his wife Kristina, and I know the staff and physicians at both hospitals are looking forward to working with him.”
Dr. Mark Spiller, Chief of Staff for EDH and KDH stated, “Dr. Estrada will be a great new addition to the team. Our physician group looks forward to working with Dr. Estrada as he establishes his practice.”
“We are very excited to have Dr. Estrada join our Family Health Team in Kirkland Lake, said Kirkland District Family Health Team Executive Director, Mandy Weeden. “Dr. Estrada will be taking on many of the patients that were previously with Dr. Chun who recently relocated to another region.”
