Sharon Eady Donates $35,000 to Blanche River Health Foundation
Sharon Eady, a former Kirkland Lake resident and retired healthcare professional, has made a significant donation of $35,000 to the Blanche River Health Foundation (BRHF).
After visiting Blanch River Health’s Kirkland Lake site’s emergency department this summer, Eady was moved by the dedication of the staff and the challenges they face in today’s healthcare environment. Inspired to make a difference, Eady decided to contribute a recent tax refund to the hospital. “I was born in KL and lived there until I went away for nursing training at age 18. I know that every penny counts in our hospitals and hope this helps,” Eady shared.
Donations like Eady’s are crucial to modernize facilities and equipment. “Support like this ensures we can continue caring for our community. We are deeply grateful,” said John Sullivan, the Foundation’s Board Chair.
The Blanche River Health Foundation encourages everyone to consider making a donation. Every contribution, big or small, directly impacts the health and well-being of the Englehart, Kirkland Lake, and surrounding communities. Sharon Eady’s generosity is a powerful reminder of the difference we can all make.
This donation will be applied to the Cardiac Fund and other initiatives that directly benefit the Emergency department.
The Blanche River Health Foundation raises funds for equipment and capital projects at the Englehart and Kirkland Lake sites. With limited government funding for these needs, the hospital relies on community donations to modernize facilities and equipment. As a registered charity governed by a volunteer board of directors, the Foundation depends on people’s generosity to support essential improvements, enhance patient care and support the hospital’s mission to make healthcare work for you.
