Amanda Kasner

Director

Amanda Kasner, CPA, CA, joined the Blanche River Health Foundation Board in October 2024, bringing extensive financial expertise and a lifelong commitment to her hometown of Kirkland Lake. Born and raised in the community, Amanda understands the vital role that accessible, high-quality healthcare plays in Northern Ontario.

She is the Corporate Director of Business Strategy and Development at Agnico Eagle Mines, holding an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation. Amanda began her career in public accounting at Ernst & Young LLP before joining Ross Pope & Company LLP, where she worked closely with publicly traded mining companies.

In 2013, Amanda transitioned to Kirkland Lake Gold as Manager of Finance and advanced through leadership roles, including Controller of Canadian Operations and Director of Finance for Australia. Following the merger with Agnico Eagle Mines in 2022, she assumed her current role, focusing on strategic business development.

Amanda is passionate about giving back. By joining the Blanche River Health Foundation Board, she hopes to leverage her financial acumen and industry experience to strengthen healthcare services, ensuring that Blanche River Health remains a leader in rural healthcare for generations to come.
