John Sullivan

Board Chair

John Sullivan became a dedicated member of the Blanche River Health Foundation Board on June 28, 2001. Throughout his time on the board, John has taken on key leadership roles, serving as Vice Chair from April 14, 2011, and ascending to the position of Board Chair on November 13, 2020.

John's educational background includes a diploma in Data Processing from Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology. Additionally, he became a RIBO licensed insurance broker in May 1990, showcasing his longstanding commitment to professional development.

In his professional life, John currently works as an Insurance Consultant at Brokerlink Insurance, a role he has held since 2022. Before joining Brokerlink, he was the owner and an insurance broker at Teck Insurance Brokers Limited, where he gained extensive experience in the insurance industry.

John joined the board to serve the community by engaging community members in raising funds to purchase vital medical equipment and improve hospital infrastructure. His goal is to facilitate state-of-the-art healthcare for residents in our communities. He believes it is important for the community to understand that the government provides only operational funding which is why the Foundation depends on local generosity to support essential improvements, enhance patient care and support the hospital’s mission to make healthcare work for you.

John emphasizes that our hospital is the heart of our communities. He believes it is vital that we work together to improve our facilities and support the dedicated teams of healthcare professionals who strive to provide the excellent level of compassionate care we are privileged to have near home.
