Visiting Specialists
Blanche River Health’s visiting specialist clinics provides the community with access to services from a variety of specialists. All specialists provide assessment, treatment and follow-up at their clinics.
Your healthcare provider will evaluate your concern and, if necessary, make a referral to a specialist.
Visiting specialist services at the Englehart Site include pediatrics, gynecology and neurology. At the Kirkland Lake site, services offered include otolaryngology, internal medicine, urology, pediatrics gynecology, ophthalmology
Timiskaming Diabetes Program
The Timiskaming Diabetes Education Program is a team of Certified Diabetes Educators, Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses that provide diabetes education and support for adults living with diabetes. We serve the Timiskaming District (Temagami to Matheson) residents 18 years of age and older living with prediabetes, Type 1, Type 2 or Gestational Diabetes.

Hours of Operation
Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm. No referral required.
Appointments are offered by telephone and in person at one of our main or outreach locations.

- Diabetes medication review and administration

- Foot screening and foot care tips
- Navigating financial supports and
- Preventing and managing diabetes complications.
