Intensive Care Unit
The Kirkland Lake site operates an intensive care unit (ICU) with advanced life-support technology and monitoring equipment and is staffed 24/7 by an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals.
Patients receiving care in the ICU are typically critically ill, unstable, require life support or are in need of continuous monitoring. These patients may require advanced care measures which will be supported by our interdisciplinary team.
Surgical Services
The active Surgical Services Department consist of on full time general surgeon and one GP/Anesthetist and complimented by visiting specialist surgeons and dentistry. Patients are referred by their healthcare provider for possible surgical or diagnostic procedures.
